The UltraStor™ RS8 FS 4Gb Fibre SAS storage system is designed to operate in performance, mission critical, and data intensive network environments. Compatible with industry standard SFP interface with copper or optical connection, hot-swappable drive trays, redundant power supplies and cooling fan modules, the RS8 FS enables system maintenance without interruption of services. Builtin RAID controller can be remotely monitor and manage through web browser providing a perfect blend for protection, manageability, and performance.

The RS8 4G Fibre supports various RAID levels, including multi-level RAID30, 50,and 60. RS8 FS ensure the long-term data integrity and reliability with extensive utilities like disk cloning and disk scrubbing to proactively prevent performance degradation and data loss due to disk failure or latent bad sectors. UltraStor™ RS8 FS also supports Windows multi-path technology (MPIO) tolerating path failure while aggregating bandwidth of multiple FC connections for higher data availability and system performance.

With two 4Gb SFP Fibre ports, the RS8 FS provides increased reliability and functionality critical to a company's IT infrastructure. UltraStor™ RS8 FS includes a cutting edge 64-bit RAID architecture which maximizes the SAS/SATA disk throughput potential. Making the system an ideal solution for professional storage applications such as high-speed D2D (disk-to-disk) backup, image processing, near-line storage, data center, database server, media & asset management library and shared SAN network. Dynamic on-line RAID expansion allows additional capacity to be added without total system downtime, increasing your department's productivity. RS8 FS's easy sharing and better flexibility allows different RAID configurations to be deployed independently on single disk group so that the storage resources can be utilized efficiently. It also provides comprehensive tools to online change RAID attributes and capacity to manage free space and to conduct array roaming.

Powerful Storage Management

The new RS8 4Gb Fibre subsystem offers multiple management options to match your workflow, and can be completely auto configured in minutes using the convenient front LCD control panel, and monitored or reconfigured through a remote connection. A comprehensive menu screen facilitates the setup process and lets users reconfigure the system as storage needs change. An RS232 interface gives users access to advanced features such as multiple array settings, fibre channel parameters (connection mode, ID, LUN mapping, etc.) SNMP features and security options. A network interface is available for remote web browser based management and includes the essential tools required to manage and monitor your RS8 FS.

UltraStor Storage Expansion

UltraStor RS8 FS 4Gb Fibre RAID subsystem allows dynamic RAID expansion to an optional secondary JBOD unit, the RS16 JS, through an embedded Mini-SAS expansion port. The embedded expansion port on the advanced UltraStor models helps reduce your total cost of ownership and protects your investment.
